"I'm going grey, not platinum!" Konami has announced today that it plans to release one of Sony's hit titles for its PlayStation 3 console - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as a budget title this March.

The game from Konami will receive a facelift tomorrow in the form of a new game mode for online multiplayer.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was a hit across most of its fan base. MGS4 did a good job of answering a lot of questions at its end, however, there is still going to be the idea of a possible new Metal Gear or Hideo Kojima creation being made in the future. Kojima sat down with website Kikizo and explains his thought process: "I say frankly, on a private level, that I always intend to stay true to these statements; I do always say what I actually feel at that time, after each Metal Gear, when I say I am going to move on to the next project.

Kojima productions have confirmed that MGS4 is indeed the last Metal Gear to feature Snake as we know him. An interesting idea came up today, however, when Hideo Kojima weighed in on who Snake has been in the franchise's 10 year history and also teases readers with a possibility of "a Snake for a new era." "The heroes in most animations and movies don't age.

Konami are set to release the first expansion pack for Metal Gear Online this Thursday (17th July).
