Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

E3 bought us a lot of treats the main treat from Konami’s legendary designer – Mr. Hideo Kojima creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

It was unfortunate that HK didn’t show off too much of Guns of the Patriots at this event, but promised the crowd that a public playable demo would be shown and here it is in all its solid glory.

Konami has entered the next stage of its Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots campaign, with the launch of a new live demo for Hideo Kojima’s first PlayStation 3 entry to the legendary stealth action series.

Due for a simultaneous worldwide release early in 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in a war-torn future where huge conglomerates fight for supremacy using armies of hand-picked mercenaries. This battle-scarred arena is seen through the eyes of an older Solid Snake who has been charged with infiltrating a number of key locations across the globe, including the Middle East and South America.

The new trailer features all new In-Game gameplay using PlayStation 3 hardware and serves to whet players’ appetites with new revelations and glimpses of what the final game will contain. The new footage shows Snake using his surroundings too his advantage from hiding in trash cans to blending in with his environment even pretending to ‘play dead’

We’re way to excited for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and don’t think we can contain our excitement anymore. We can’t wait until we get all hands-on later this year. Let us know what you thought of the live demonstration leaving your comments below.
