Blazing Birds and Gel for Wednesday

It is the time of the week where we find out what we could be downloading on the Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday. This week is a little uninspiring however, even with two games available.

First up is Blazing Birds, which challenges you against sixty AI opponents over three difficulty levels in robot badminton. Sounds incredibly fun. You amass points and can unleash deadly power shots against the opposition. The game was a winner of the XNA Dream.Build.Play competition in 2007.

Thankfully it’ll only be 400 MS Points (£3.40) as the game is fairly basic.

Up next is Gel: Set and Match which is an action puzzler from the makers of Small Arms, Gastronaut Studios. Players control a cute-yet-alien creature who matches colored blocks to solve unique puzzles, clear a road of gel blocks, or compete in multiplayer battles.

It certainly looks interesting and will cost 800 MS Points (£6.80) from Wednesday.

Tell us if you are interested in any of the above. We’ll have full reviews next week.
