Rare could be working on a third Killer Instinct fighting game if history repeats itself.

The rumours have arose after Rare released three Viva Pinata animal cards which are based on characters from Killer Instinct. You can scan these if you own an Xbox Live Vision camera.

But why could it herald development of Killer Instinct 3? Well as we delve back into the depths of history and back to the days of the Super Nintendo, you may remember that we first were teased with Killer Instinct in Donkey Kong Country 2. Which was a superb game for those who haven’t played it.

The sequel was then teased in Diddy Kong Racing, another superb N64 title which in my opinion beats Mario Kart. But enough of the fond memories
