A new map pack for Battle for Middle Earth II has hit the marketplace.

A new competiton has just been started by the boys over at Gamespot and it will feature a total of 48 gamers battling it out on LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II for the title of 'King of Kings'.

EA has released three new screenshots for its upcoming title LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II showcasing more Orc smashing goodness from this highly anticipated title which makes its exclusive console debut on the Xbox 360 when it ships this summer.

12 new Ork infested screenshots have smashed their way onto 360Monster this morning, featuring in-game shots of LOTR: Battle for MIddle Earth II.It seems everything from giant orges to tiny goblins will be featured in the new LOTR strategy game, and it also looks like battles will be on the rather large size, hopefully taking full advantage of the 360's monster power.Be sure to check out the shots HERE.

Electronic Arts today announced that their highly anticipated PC title, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II (LOTR) will be made available on Xbox 360 when it launches in Summer 2006.The game will be on just the PC and Xbox 360, making the 360 the only console world-wide that will have the game.Players will now be able to take advantage of High-definition and command the immense fantasy armies from the comfort of their arm-chair.
