Xbox One sales ‘more than double’ after dropping Kinect

Sales of the Xbox One have “more than doubled” in the US since the console was sold without Kinect.

Microsoft also acknowledged their “amazing line-up of games during E3” for the increase in sales.

Posting on their website, Microsoft said: “We’re excited to welcome so many fans to Xbox this summer and we can’t wait for them to get their hands on the wide selection of new games available this year on Xbox One, including Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Ori and the Blind Forest.”

The Kinect-less Xbox One bundle went on sale on Monday, June 9th, 2014. Microsoft also reported a “solid growth” in Xbox 360 sales during the same period.
