Xbox 360 Slim unveiled and detailed

After months of rumours and a leak of screenshots only hours before the conference, the Xbox Slim has officially been announced. Don Mattrick, Senior Vice President of Microsoft unveiled the new piece of hardware at the close of Microsoft’s E3 conference.

The Xbox Slim, which features a slimmer, glossier design; a 250GB hard drive and built-in Wi-Fi 802.11, was sent to retailers today to be launched in North America later this week. The console will be priced the same as the current console of $299. This translates to £199.99 / 249 Euro. Unfortunately, Europeans will have to wait until the 16th July for the console to hit retailers, according to Graeme Boyd (better known as AceyBongos).
