Owlcat Games has announced the release date for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s final downloadable content expansion, titled Processional of the Damned. The expansion will be available on December 8, 2026, for Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.
Processional of the Damned introduces a new storyline set within a massive voidship graveyard known by the same name. Players will recruit a new companion, Stella, a Miraculist raised by the Order of Saint Cognatius, who leads the party through this perilous environment. The crew finds themselves trapped and must uncover the mysteries of the graveyard while confronting the Forces of Chaos and other threats.
New Features and Gameplay Additions in Processional of the Damned
The expansion brings several new gameplay elements to Rogue Trader. Notably, it adds a playable Zealot archetype focused on melee combat with hammers and other bludgeoning weapons. Stella, the Miraculist companion, can manipulate psychic Pyromancy to set foes ablaze and alters her abilities dynamically based on party composition and Veil Degradation mechanics.
Players will encounter new enemies including Chaos Space Marines from the Black Legion and Aeldari from the Iyanden Craftworld. A novel Insanity mechanic will affect companions’ mental states during missions, introducing additional strategic challenges. The DLC also includes new weapons such as grenade launchers, companion events, items, and space exploration features. A new romance option is reportedly part of the content as well.

The DLC launch covers all platforms that host Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, ensuring players on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC can access the new content simultaneously. This final expansion arrives ahead of the upcoming sequel, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, which is confirmed for release next year.
