*Update* Teenager arrested in connection with LulzSec attacks

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the hacker group, LulzSec.

The 19-year-old from Wickford, Essex was arrested in a joint action by the Scotland Yard and the FBI after hacking into video games company databases, including Bethesda, Sony and SEGA.

A spokesman from Scotland Yard said: “The arrest follows an investigation into network intrusions and distributed denial of service attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies by what is believed to be the same hacking group.

Searches at a residential address in Wickford, Essex, following the arrest last night have led to the examination of a significant amount of material.

*Update*

The man arrested has been named locally, but not my police, as Ryan Cleary, a former member of Anonymous – another hacking group.

However, the arrest may not see the end of the attacks, as a tweet sent from the LulzSec Twitter account reads:

Seems the glorious leader of LulzSec got arrested, it’s all over now… wait… we’re all still here! Which poor b*****d did they take down?
