Sega has recently revealed that its newest Sonic game, ‘Sonic Generations’ will be hitting gaming shelves this coming holiday season on both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

The newest Sonic will give gamers the chance to play as 3D Sonic and even the retro 2D version of the little blue hedgehog through a variety of levels all based around locations previously seen in old Sonic games, making this a must for any veteran gamers.

The game will also have you thinking on your feet, you will be using the classic spin dash whilst playing as the 2D sonic, but you’ll have to master more unconventional moves such as the grind when behind the controls of the 3D Sonic.

The game is being released as part of Sonics 20th anniversary celebrations, let’s just hope we have something to celebrate about in this latest installment of one of the greatest gaming franchises to grace consoles.

Despite a long absence from gaming, during which he spent many a night reminiscing about the glory days on Halo 2, Matty is now back online smashing his way through Black Ops and soon enough Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3.
