Sony have today confirmed with ConsoleMonster that the global servers for Resistance: Fall of Man will go live this Friday 29th June.
Along with the servers going live, we’ll be able to download two new maps in a map pack costing £2.99. The map pack, fittingly named “Map Pack 1”, will feature additional multiplayer territories for us to play with. Sony tell us more:
“Launch silent sniper attacks across the snowy slopes of Westmorland, taking cover in the shadow of Chimeran architecture, or go below ground with all guns blazing to save autumnal Camborn from the plague of inhuman invaders”
If you’re a lazy git, you won’t even have to go into the PSN to download the new maps, as Resistance: Fall of Man will have a new in-game feature which will allow you to buy the maps within the game. We’re also told that our online character sheets will have a nice little national flag telling other players whether we’re from Europe, USA, Japan, Andorra, Kazakhstan, Oman, Bahrain, Chad…you get the picture.
