The classic Prince of Persia is going to be released on the PlayStation Network, though there is no word on a release date yet.

PlayStation.com has confirmed the release will see new character designs, animations, controls and content. Three new game modes will also appear, two of which are Time Attack and Survival.

Prince of Persia has already seen a release on the Xbox Live Arcade and the boss had the pleasure of playing it and said: “With the spit and polish that this original title has been given it has brought this gem back to life to fit in just nicely with today’s graphically rich full-price title”.

He gave it 85% so thought it was worth a download. We’ll keep you posted if a release date is given soon.
