Play Sunset Overdrive for free tomorrow

Xbox One owners will be able to play Sunset Overdrive for free for a full day this weekend.

Posting on his blog, Major Nelson revealed that beginning on Saturday, November 22nd at 12:01 Eastern Time (approximately 5:01am GMT), Xbox Live Gold members can play the full game for 24 hours.

The post read: “Players will earn achievements and be able to save how far they progress during that 24 hour span. If you decide to purchase the game at a later point, you will be able to start again right where you left off”.

Major Nelson added: “Sunset Overdrive’s 8-player cooperative multiplayer experience, Chaos Squad, will also be available for everyone tomorrow. Please note: Chaos Squad must be unlocked by playing a certain amount into the campaign.”

The promotion is to celebrate the first anniversary of the Xbox One’s launch.

Yesterday, Microsoft announced that they would be giving free content to any Xbox One player who purchased the console between launch day (Friday, November 22nd, 2013) and Tuesday, November 11th, 2014.
