Not Giving Up Just Yet

In a recent interview, Microsoft’s Peter Moore revealed that they (Microsoft) have no intentions on giving up on the Japanese Market, despite rumors and decreasing profits in the East. The loyalty that the Japanese have shown to Sony has proven to be a huge challenge for Microsoft. It has been 9 months since the Xbox 360 was launched in Japan and sales figures are still minuscule in size, compared to the figures we have seen come out of North America.

Moore continues by saying that the awful sales in Japan occurred due to a lack of the “right content”. Even though this is very true, the Japanese market has clearly had enough of the promises and words from Microsoft reps. Luckily at the Tokyo Game Show Microsoft has proved to be a hit with such titles like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. Both titles, that were designed for Japan and Eastern Markets have been a success at this years TGS and has created a stir around the Japanese gaming world.

“We need to give Japanese gamers a compelling reason to buy and I think this is it,” said Moore about his company’s lineup, we will see in the upcoming months if it is true.
