Those in the US woke up this morning to find their Wii breathing heavily with the blue, update-indicator light glowing in their faces. Start up the Wii and those folks will find the Nintendo Channel waiting for them.

The download takes up several blocks of the limited Wii memory, so you might have to make some room. But, stocked with trailers, an interview with Miyamoto and the ability to download demos for your DS, the Nintendo Channel is a welcome addition to the console.

The channel is slated to release for those in Europe on the 30th of this May. Check it out then.
