Next PS3 update to incorporate Facebook features

Sony plans to add some Facebook functionality with the next firmware update for the PS3.

You’ll still need to check Facebook using the web browser, rather than it being a full-blown application (as with 360), but it’ll post any activity relating to Trophy unlocks and purchases on the PlayStation Store to the news-feed.

It also means that developers are open to coding features which will post updates to the news feed such as possibly progress in games.

The PlayStation blog also mentions a revamp of the Photo section and a modification of the PSN friends list.
