Need for Speed: The Run has been announced by EA at their E3 conference.
The announcement was made by Jason DeLong, who also showed a live demo of the game.
The gameplay footage revealed that, for the first time in a Need for Speed title, players can run on foot in a series of quick-action sequences.
No release date for the game was given.
