Natal pricing will be ‘high’ to begin with

Microsoft has announced that the price of Natal will start off ‘high’ and reduce over time.

Robbie Bach, the guy in charge of Xbox said at the Microsoft Open House event in New York:

“Relative to Natal, we’ll see how the pricing cost works out, but people should expect that it will go through the usual price curve.

That sounds to us that Project Natal will begin at quite an expensive price when it launches in 2010. Bach was also probed over when they will drop the Natal tag, responding: “when we tell you to call it something else.”

The company offered no further details on the motion device.
