Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition Comes With Night Goggles!?

Holy mother of all things awesome, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s Prestige Edition is shaping up to be the sexiest collectors edition ever made. There are 3 versions being released this November which include the normal boxed game, the ‘Hardened’ steelbook version and the ‘Prestige’ collectors edition.

The normal edition comes as it is, no special box just your average box plus game. The Hardened edition will come in a steelbook case and also contain a download code for ‘Call of Duty’ on PC XBLA or PSN, depending on your choice of purchase, when it releases.

The Prestige edition will come with the hardened edition of the game, art book and … .. wait for it… . NIGHT GOGGLES. Infinity Ward branded night goggles. I have no idea why they decided to pop those in but you know what.. it’s actually a pretty fun extra. The collectors edition also includes a Soap head to pop the goggles on if you want to display them in your humble abode.

Prices? Well nothing has been announced. The Hardened edition is rumours to cost around $79.99 (approx. £49.99) and no official price has been released for the Prestige edition or if it will hit European shores. I very much doubt they would keep this from us Brits.

Any special edition of Modern Warfare 2 you might have pre-ordered is most likely to be the hardened edition, please double check your order in a few days if the prestige edition is the one you want to go for.

As always let us know in the comments what you think of this edition. Will you be splashing out the rumoured £70+ for it and get your night vision on? Would you rather of had in game content? I know I’ll be saving my pennies for this bad ass edition.
