Midway has been struggling as of late so it is of no surprise that they are fighting to appeal to the largest audience possible with their new titles. Unfortunately MK vs DC Universe is in the firing line, being softened in order to fit the T for Teen rating.
This is obviously sad times for any Mortal Kombat fans in particular. ESRB seems to have won the fight against the series, which it has happily scored highly in the past due to the popular gore and head ripping opportunities we have all come to love.
This results in the question needing to be asked, why so serious ESRB?
