Microsoft Goes Elite

So its Official people, Microsoft have gone elite, their ’new’ console will include a 120GB Hard Drive, and a HDMI [High Definition Multimedia Interface] Output. Microsoft have also announced that you’ll be able to purchase all accessories including the 120GB HDD separately so that every gamer has the choice to upgrade and is not forced.

Peter Moore, corporate vice president for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. [phew] has commented;

“Today’s games and entertainment enthusiast has an insatiable appetite for digital high-definition content, Xbox 360 Elite’s larger hard drive and premium accessories will allow our community to enjoy all that the next generation of entertainment has to offer.”

All accessories can also be purchased separately, including the black Xbox 360 Live Headset, the black Play and Charge Kit, the black Wireless Controller, 120GB Hard Drive and the HDMI Cable, in the US from April 29th.

The console will retail for $479.99 (£244) While there has been no comment on a European release date for the new ’elite’ console, theres speculation that we might hear something today. [Fingers Crossed]
