Konami, the creators of Metal Gear Solid 4, have confirmed earlier reports that it will come fully loaded with an online multilayer package, but it will only be a starter pack.

Previous reports suggested that 16 online gamers would enter an online battlefield and battle against each other using stealth tactics found in the main storyline.

Konami have told Gamespot that the online starter pack will be available with Metal Gear Solid 4 on release. “We have an online component called a “starter pack” that’s shipping with MGS4″. They also confirmed that morecontent will be available to download from the Playstation store after release.

Konami have not said how much of the game would be in the starter pack so it looks likely that the starter pack will almost certainly be a “demo” with the main bulk of the online capabilities being available via a standalone purchase from the PSN store.
