Kinect Avatars Released on 360

Six months ago Microsoft announced the new avatar Kinect feature which allowed gamers to animate and speak through their avatar with the help of the Kinect.

Well today it was finally released although it must be noted come September 8th it will only be available to Gold subscribers.

You will get the chance to put your little avatar in a variety of locations including a talk show studio, outer space, a newsroom and much, much more. The Kinect will read your facial expression and immitate it through your avatar.

You’ll even be able to create videos of you playing around inside your mini-me and upload them online for all to see.

Next on Microsofts agenda no doubt is Microskype.

Lee Matthews

Lee is an avid gamer, photographer, film buff and sports fan. A scaly brat since birth it only seemed right for him to join Her Majesties Armed Forces of which he has been a proud member ever since. Despite a long absence from gaming, during which he spent many a night reminiscing about the glory days on Halo 2, Matty is now back online smashing his way through Black Ops and soon enough Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3.
