Guitar Hero 5 career and band changes

Guitar Hero 5 is already on the horizon and Activision has decided it will make a few changes to the way we play the series.

As previously announced ‘anyone’ can play an instrument without the fighting, as you can play as many Guitar’s or Drums etc as you want.

The multiple instrument career is out, in favour of one lobby where you can access all the songs. There will be no song progression, but playing the career will unlock new characters, outfits, instruments and venues.

Each song will have a star rating with a sixth star being awarded for completing the song specific challenge which could be to hit 100% notes or clear a certain section from a song.

In band mode, the shared Rock meter is also out, and each member will now perform as an individual. Fail and the other members will have to try and fill a revival meter; this becoming harder the more it crops up.

Star Power is also no longer shared, personal meter’s will instead fill up. Kinda takes the edge off Band mode now!

The company also announced a further 24 tracks, all of which are listed below with the already announced ones. The tracklist is much more ‘rock centric’ this time around:
