Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas receiving HD makeover on Xbox 360

A HD version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be released on the Xbox 360 this weekend.

In a post on their Support pages, Rockstar announced that the HD rerelease will replace the Xbox Originals title, which was removed from Xbox Live.

Rockstar confirmed that “this version features 720p resolution, enhanced draw distance, and achievement support”.

The post continued: “The Games on Demand version of San Andreas is not compatible with the Xbox Originals version.Save files will not transfer from Xbox Originals.

“Owners of the Xbox Originals version will still have access to the old version on their consoles and through their download history, with the option to purchase the new version to experience the added features on a new save file.”

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available on the Xbox 360 from this Sunday, October 26th, 2014.
