Codemasters announces Toybox Turbos – a Micro Machines clone

Codemasters has unveiled Toybox Turbos – a top-down racer inspired by the classic retro racer Micro Machines.

According to the game’s developer, the gameplay reflects Codemasters’ fondly remembered miniature racing titles of the 90s”, as players navigate toy cars across hazardous household environments.

The title will featured 18 circuits “inspired by childhood locations”, along with 35 vehicles which range from sports cars to ice cream vans. The game will ship with 6 game modes and include support for up to 4-play local and online multiplayer.

Toybox Turbos is set to launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November, 2014.
