Today Epic Games announced a “Season Pass” for Gears of War 3. The pass will be available for download on release day and give the owner pre-access to the first four DLC installments, the first being released in November. Much like the Rockstar Passreleased for L.A. Noire earlier this year, buying the pass in advance will get you all the add-ons for a discounted price, a 33% savings over buying them individually to be exact.Epic states that the DLC will add “hours” to multiplayer and singleplayer. Purchasing the season pass will also net you the exclusive “Liquid Metal” weapon set.
The season pass will be available Sept. 20th, and set you back 2400 Microsoft points. A tad steep in my opinion, and it strikes me a bit strange for them to announce this before release. What’s your opinion?
