FIFA 11 to ‘redefine authenticity’

Konami are pulling all the stops this year to try and get the Pro Evolution Series back on track because as of late, EA have been dominating the football genre. EA know that to keep the ever growing large fan base keen for more FIFA action they have to up their own game. I introduce to you, personality+. I’ll let Executive Producer Kaz Makita explain…

“Personality+ is the evolution of individual distinctiveness that sees a footballer’s abilities on the pitch mirrored authentically in our game, creating individual personalities in FIFA 11,”

“We have reached a level of sophistication within our game engine where footballers in our game will behave and perform as true individuals.”

What the above basically means is that should you go Brazil, Kaka will be able to deliver crisp passing without much hassle, playing as Spain’s Iniesta should allow you to get out of tight corners with his dribbling skills, and should you go England’s Wayne Rooney… well we all know what will happen there.

FIFA 11 also introduces a new pro passing system where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer’s ability on the control pad. Poor passing by over or under striking the ball will result in error-prone outcomes. You’ll also be able to put swerve on the ball meaning you’ll be pinging the ball around the pitch like Paul Scholes in no time.

FIFA 11 is expected to release this fall, October being the most likely month if previous years are to go by. As soon as it becomes available i’ll be pre-ordering, but what about you? Have you had enough FIFA or do you want more? Discuss below!
