The recent glitch in Fable 2 Pub Games which allowed you to increase bets almost ten-fold with the push of a button, was intentional. That is according to the main man Peter Molyneux who was speaking to IGN, who claims that those who cheated will be punished in Fable II when it gets released.
The glitch simply allowed you on the Fortune’s Tower card game to press the left bumper as you placed a bet and allow you to stake ten times the amount of money for free.
A patch was released a week later to combat this. However it is not known whether the issue was deliberate or if Peter is covering his back. The punishment for players is unknown at this stage.
If you did fork out on Fable II Pub Games for the pricey sum of 800 MS Points, then you probably had to resort to cheating to enjoy the game. Our David wasn’t that impressed either: “The games don’t provide enough entertainment and will bore many players after an hour or two due to the games being luck-based. There’s also a chance you’ll end up in debt before the game’s even released!”.
He gave it 68% before promptly putting it down and waiting for something else he could whore achievements on; something a bit better. We’ll keep you posted on what the punishment shall be; you could always speculate for us however below!
