DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller Details and Compatible List

At this years Tokyo Game Show, Sony had confirmed many rumours floating around the interweb when they announced that it would release the DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller, a new controller for the PS3 which incorporates the much loved, and missed, rumble feature. Japan will be the first to get their hands on the DS3 Controller when it launches there in November, while us folk in the West have to wait until Spring 2008! So start hunting down those import websites PS3 fans!

The DS3 inherits the basic design and functionality of the popular PlayStation controller, while keeping the high-precision, high response motion sensitive sixaxis sensing system. The added rumble feature, combined with the highly realistic motion sensitive sixaxis sensing system, takes gamers deeper into the world of interactivity, delivering a more intuitive, realistic and immersive game play experience.

The new controller will also benefit PS3 content creators, by giving them the ability to further expand their creative imagination. Existing PS3 titles that are lacking any rumble feature may become compatible in the future through software update. As for future PS3 releases, there are plenty of DS3 supported titles coming as SCEI will introduce more new ways of enjoyment that can only be found on PS3.
