Dragon’s Dogma 2 has received a significant update from Capcom, with Title Update 3.2 introducing 60fps performance to the Xbox Series X version almost two years after the game’s release. The patch also impacts PlayStation 5 and PC versions, delivering numerous gameplay adjustments and system improvements ahead of the upcoming Dark Arisen DLC expansion.
Capcom announced the patch rollout on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, and PC on 2 September 2026, confirming the long-requested framerate improvements which had been highly anticipated by players. The update boosts the Xbox Series X version to support up to 60fps via the FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) upscaling feature, while the Series S version reaches up to 45fps with the same technology. Specifications for the PC version have been adjusted to accommodate these improvements, with further details for the Nintendo Switch 2 release pending.
Title Update 3.2 Introduces Extensive Gameplay and System Changes
The patch, weighing in at 67GB, touches nearly every aspect of Dragon’s Dogma 2 beyond performance enhancements. Among the changes is the expansion of save system functionality to allow multiple save slots per player, improving data management and reducing the risk of lost progress. Players can now access up to three save slots for each Arisen, each including autosave, interim save, and last inn rest save options, with timestamps visible on the save screen.
A new gameplay mechanic targets the Dragonsplague status effect, adding an item called Dragonsbaulk Draught that players and their pawns can use to cure the condition. Adjustments to pawns include improved usefulness and additional dialogue related to the cure, enhancing their functionality throughout the adventure.
Capcom has also added many UI improvements such as equipment filters, the ability to favourite items, and toggles for enemy grab indicators. Weapon skill slots have been expanded, and the balancing of vocations—including all character classes—has been revised. Controls on keyboard for activating or switching weapon skills have been improved as well, giving players more customization options.
Dark Arisen DLC Preview and Platform-Specific Updates
The Title Update accompanies the release of a gameplay trailer for the Dark Arisen expansion, due in October 2026. This DLC introduces a new Relic loot system intended to provide an engaging gameplay loop beyond combat and story progression, although specific platform details for Nintendo Switch 2 will be announced later.
The update highlights Capcom’s ongoing support for Dragon’s Dogma 2 across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms, addressing long-standing performance issues and expanding gameplay depth with an eye to the upcoming DLC. Players on Xbox Series X can now experience smoother gameplay at 60fps, aligning the game’s technical presentation closer to current generation standards.
Title Update 3.2 and the Dark Arisen expansion represent the latest official content and improvements, with no additional platform updates confirmed at this time.
