Two racing fuelled demos have screeched onto Xbox LIVE Marketplace today for FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage and Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights.
Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights from THQ weighs in at around 1.31GB and gives your the chance to taste some drift racing, here is some blurb from the makers themselves:
“The Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights Xbox 360 interactive demo features 3 distinct race modes; circuit race, solo drift challenge and multi-car drift king, on 2 different circuits – a downtown Tokyo street circuit, and the Paris drift track that snakes around the legs of the Eifel Tower.
The demo starts with a quick introduction from Hot Import Nights (HIN) and Juiced 2 spokes-model, Ursula Mayes. Then you’re into the HIN Initiation Challenge, starting with a circuit race in the centre of Tokyo city. Before climbing into your tricked-out Nissan Silvia S15 R-Spec, you’ll meet your rivals and be asked to place a bet against Crystal Simmons. During the 2 lap race, you can powerslide through corners to generate Nitrous boost for use on the straights, spook your opponents by sticking to their rear fender, check out the damage effects and watch your Driver DNA evolve.
After the race and the podium scene, its back to the Hot Import Nights hub where you can choose to buy one of the following cars:
• Chevrolet Camaro SS (1969 model) – classic muscle and great drift car
• Mazda RX-7 – Japanese Import icon, and also great drift car
• Saleen S7 – exotic, rare and supremely fast supercar
You’ll also have enough cash to fully mod and tune your purchase by heading to the Garage. Along with detailed paint and decal options, a fully array of visual and performance mods can be purchased. Once you’re happy, its over to the Race menu to pick from the various event and goal options including Solo Drift and Drift King challenges through the famous Eifel Tower. In solo drift, the objective is to rack up as many drift points as possible by staying sideways without touching the barriers. And in drift king, its the same, but you’re competing against a bunch of opponents at the same time.”
If drifting isn’t your thing then how about some bumper to bumper crushing action with FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage from Empire, weighing in at around 751MB this demo will offer you a few modes, enough to get a feel of the full release that is already selling in stores today. Time for some blurb…
“As well as the trademark destruction and mayhem in FlatOut Career mode, we’ve purposely focused on the new game modes in the playable demo” said Rob Noble, European Marketing Manager at Empire “The introduction of Deathmatch Derby in particular, is sure to be an instant hit with all action racing fans. The launch of the demo is an important element in our effort to bring the game to the broadest possible base of Xbox 360 gamers. We believe it will help build on FlatOut Ultimate Carnage’s excellent initial consumer sales launch,”are both up for grabs as of today.”
