Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – New DLC – Uprising

After we reported on the initial rumours of new DLC landing for BLOPS2, confirmation has reached us that the next DLC will available as soon as 16th April.

Titled Uprising the DLC will contain four new multiplayer maps as well as another zombie mode (because it seems people just can’t get enough of the undead). We have a trailer below.

The four maps are:

  • Magma – A Japanese village with a nearby volcano that is erupting and causing damage to the town
  • Encore – A London post gig setting to navigate and hide in
  • Vertigo – A lab based map in a futuristic Indian skyscraper
  • Studio – Based aroundn a film studio backlot

The additional maps may offer a bit of interest but what really raises eyebrows is the new zombie mode, the reason being because of the voice cast it has drawn.

“Mob of the Dead” sees players take on the role of prohibition era mobsters voiced by gangster film faves (Ray Liotta, Joe Pantoliano and none other than Reservoir Dogs Mr Blonde, Michael Madsen). Set in Alcatraz, the mobsters are in the process of breaking out when there is a zombie outbreak. Sounds like something that may make me revisit the (what i feel is becoming tired and tested Zombie mode)

Gangster Zombies, I seriously can’t wait.

The Uprising DLC will be available on 16th April at 1200 MSP or free for those who have a season pass. As always, let us know what you think about this video and the news as well as your own views on the game by leaving your comments below.
