Anyone Want to Buy an Xbox Durango?

It’s not everyday that a state in Mexico is blessed with being the codename for the new Xbox 720 if sources are anything to go by.

Looking back the Wii’s codename was Revolution and the Dreamcast was Katana, heck even the 360 sounded pretty neat as ‘Falcon’. Just a shame that if the news is true then the 720 has a pretty dire codename by way of Durango.

It’s also very peculiar for such a Mexican orientated word to be used as the name for what is essentially an American console.

So far other rumours have included a tablet-esque 720 controller, greater measures to slow the pre-owned market and even a Blu-Ray player in Microsofts new console.

Microsoft have yet to comment on the news, so for now we’re taking everything with a pinch of salt.
