Achievement ‘unlocked’ – 2.5 billion of them

Imagine having £2.5 billion pounds? Well it won’t happen for the majority of us (except the Ed who is sitting on a gold mine), but there could be a chance that you unlock 2.5 billion’s worth of Xbox 360 achievements?

Alright, no chance there either. But amongst all of us Xbox 360 gamers, we have actually unlocked 2.5 billion achievements. Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg revealed the details to Gamasutra, which amounts to a massive 52 billion gamerpoints, and an average of 150 Achievements per player.

Thankgod someone else did the maths. The attach rate for the Xbox 360 has reached around eight games per console because of the ‘hunger for these achievements’.

I suppose I should get back to whoring points myself.
