THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games have announced Titan Quest II will launch on Xbox Series X|S on 19 January 2027. Pre-orders for the action RPG are available now on the platform with two editions on offer.
Titan Quest II follows its predecessor’s mythological setting in ancient Greece, continuing the story against Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution. The game entered PC Early Access in August 2025 and has since been expanded with new content and features prior to the full release arriving on Xbox consoles.
Mastery System and Gameplay Details Highlighted
The game’s core mechanic revolves around its Mastery system, allowing players to combine two of six Masteries to create hybrid classes. The Masteries include Earth, Storm, Warfare, Rogue, Forge, and Spirit, all of which can be paired freely, offering 15 class combinations before factoring in gear.
Each Mastery provides distinct combat styles, from elemental control and battlefield manipulation to summoning and gadget deployment. Players can customise skills with modifiers that reshape how they function and adjust attribute points across Might, Agility, Vigor, and Knowledge. Respec is available at any time for a gold fee.
Combat in Titan Quest II emphasises tactical positioning and timing, with enemy factions coordinating abilities. This approach encourages deliberate play rather than fast-paced button mashing. In addition, health potions regenerate when players damage enemies, supporting sustained engagement.
Edition Options and Platform Specifics
Pre-ordering Titan Quest II on Xbox Series X|S grants access to two editions. The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 / €59.99 and includes the Cosmic Turtle Companion along with 96 hours of early access. Owners of the original Titan Quest on Xbox receive a 10% loyalty discount.
The Ultimate Edition, at $79.99 / €79.99, includes the same bonuses as the Standard Edition, with additional unspecified content to be detailed closer to launch. Multiplayer cooperative play is also supported, facilitating shared exploration and combat.
The game world features handcrafted environments inspired by Greek mythology, including varied regions such as the Arkadian Plains and Mount Olympus. The soundtrack combines traditional Greek music elements with orchestral components. The release on Xbox brings the full narrative conclusion and comprehensive content previously unavailable on consoles.
