It has been revealed today that Microsoft may be working on a new AAA shooter for the Kinect system.
An employee at Microsoft Game Studios Vancouver added the following to his résumé “a core AAA shooter experience using Kinect”.
Furthermore the official MGS Vancouver site states the following, “MGS Vancouver is building a world-class development team in Vancouver, BC, Canada, dedicated to making games for ‘core’ gamers.”
“Our mission is to push the limits of proven and unexplored game development and show the world what’s possible on Microsoft’s game consoles.”
This is clutching at straws somewhat even so many are looking to E3 and are waiting for an annoucement involving the Kinect and a shooting themed game. Perhaps even one connected to the new Halo. The Kinects biggest sales will come when a good, solid FPS is released on the shooter, we can only hope that the wait isn’t to great.
