A Blue Dragon sequel has been hinted by Microsoft Japan after talking about doubling the available XBOX 360 titles in Japan to 500.

After huge success in Japan with Blue Dragon, Hironobu Sakaguchi (Lost Odyssey, Kingdom Hearts) has expressed in great detail to a Japanese Magazine that he’d like to make Blue Dragon 2 online.

It would appear that Blue Dragon will have a long and prosperous life on Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Hironobu Sakaguchi has told CVG how he’d like to see Blue Dragon in the future; "Blue Dragon has sold through more than 200,000 units in Japan and again it will continue to build momentum as we get into things like BD2 and BD3 - And that’s what we’re hoping; to really build on the franchise.

In a recent interview with Gamespot, Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy, Lost Odyssey) has stated that their working on a demo of Blue Dragon for release over Microsoft’s Xbox Live Marketplace maybe for release around June-July this year.
