First let’s clear up some rumours. Space Giraffe as the Internet seems to be calling it is a game in the works by Jeff Minter. He was the guy who’s most recent work has been “Neon” for the Xbox 360. This is the interactive visualization which you can play around with when listening to your tunes on the 360. His older work has been “Tempest 2000” and the sequel “Tempest 3000”.
So what’s this “Space Giraffe”? It’s basically the sequel to Tempest with the idea that you control a giraffe like figure. Of course being that the game is created by Mr Minter you can expect tripped out effects and the start of an epileptic seizure coming along. Take Geometry Wars and turn it 3D.
