Xbox One’s stereo headset adapter requires a controller update

The headset adapter, which will allow you to use third party chat headsets with the Xbox One, is set to release next week – just in time for a little-known title called Titanfall. Perhaps you’ve heard of it?

Microsoft haspublished a step-by-step guidethat’ll help your controller and the headset get acquainted. It cautions that you’ll need to be signed in and connected to Xbox Live (in order to download the latest system update, which is required to update the controller), and that a number of the steps can take up to 3 minutes to complete, so a little patience is required.
