The Xbox One might not be winning the console sales war, but it has won another battle this year against its mortal enemy, the PS4.
Reports rushed in from the US conflict zone showed that, thanks to the might of Master Chief and Halo 5: Guardians at its vanguard, Microsoft’s console had indeed emerged victorious through the month of October.
Seeing an explosive 81% increase on sales, year-on-year – thanks in no small part to Halo 5 – the Xbox One has smashed its opposition into the ground for the second time this year.
“We saw amazing fan excitement, commercial success and critical acclaim in October for Halo 5: Guardians, which was the best-selling game in the US,” Xbox marketing boss and Warmind-in-chief Mike Nichols said.
