Xbox One to launch in 29 new markets during September

The Xbox One will launch in an additional 28 countries in September.

In a post on Xbox Wire, Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, wrote: “I know that many of you have waited patiently since we first announced Xbox One. And it has been very important to both me and the team that we launch with a great experience in your market.

“Gamers in new Xbox One markets can expect to enjoy our award-winning line-up including some of the most anticipated games. Groundbreaking exclusives likeForza Motorsport 5,Dead Rising 3andRyse: Son of Rome, will be joined bySunset Overdriveand Halo: The Master Chief Collectionin the coming months.”

He continued: “The roster also includes blockbuster franchises likeCall of Duty: Ghosts,Battlefield 4and the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft… and more.

“So on behalf of the entire team at Xbox I would like to welcome the following markets to the growing Xbox One community this month.”

2nd September – Chile and Colombia

4th September: Japan

5th September: Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates

15th September: Israel

23rd September:China , Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan

26th September: Russia

Plans for a launch in Argentina will be confirmed shortly. The Xbox One originally launched in the US and Europe on November 22nd, 2013.
