Xbox Live Safety Issue

Early this year reports emerged regarding the safety of Xbox Live users, especially minors. Microsoft have responded by claiming the safety of Live users is their top priority. This comes after news that a 14 year old boy was molested after meeting his attacker from the Live service. Microsoft have placed several policing methods on Live, such as parental locking on the 360, aswell as working with various authorities.

Microsoft commented:

“Safety and security, specifically child on line safety, are a top priority for Microsoft, and we insure that Xbox Live is equipped with the tools that allow parents to monitor the activities of their children during online game play, including disabling voice communications,”
