After another break (I really need to get back into the habit of writing these), Off the Radar returns and, as promised, here is the Xbox LIVE Arcade: Part 2 featuring South Park and Banjo-Tooie.

The popular American cartoon, South Park, was revealed within an eight second trailer at the E3 conference in 2008. The trailer featured Cartman saying: “Can we please, just get back to playing on video games?” before showing the ever-so-familiar image of the gang with the town’s residents in the background.

The game received an estimated release date of 2009, but we have yet to hear anything more since. Major Nelson had a behind-the-scenes look at the television studios earlier this month, though there was no mention of the Xbox LIVE Arcade version.

Now onto Banjo-Tooie which received a more precise date of April 2009 last year, though when the game failed to appear in the ‘Days of Arcade,’ it looks like it’s had a setback although the game’s achievements will have given anticipated fans new hope.

At this moment in time, details of the developer (4J Studios) and the publisher (Microsoft Game Studios) are known, but not much else. Rumours are looking fairly strong, especially about the pricing of 1200 Microsoft Points, similar to the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of Banjo-Kazooie. Another rumour is the Stop ‘N’ Swop feature which could have players searching the game for eggs, which would unlock special areas and items in the game’s predecessor.

Stay tuned to Console Monster for the latest details on both South Park and Banjo-Tooie.
