Microsoft is set to introduce an online Avatar marketplace. The service, that will match that of the one released as part of the Xbox 360 update on Tuesday, launched in the US earlier today. Like its counterpart, the content is split into the categories: “Men,” “Women,” “Lifestyle” and “Game Style.”

AceyBongos has announced that the European Avatar marketplace is now open.

Looking at the best-selling items, the guitar, basketball and Halo RC Warthog proved to be the most bought within the first day of the Marketplace launching to all. The Avatars section is currently not available in Europe, though we expect it to be going live soon.
The news means future Xbox Live Marketplace updates will contain new Avatar items, so if you’re keen to have the most fashionable Avatar out there, it’s worth keeping an eye on the updates.
Another change made to Xbox.com includes the option to rate titles. This is done by visiting the game’s Marketplace page and selecting the rating you want to give it using the stars. Microsoft has also added the option to add ‘Games on Demand’ titles to your transfer queue from the online Marketplace. This can be done from here.
