Xbox 360 ‘has twice as many online players as PS3’

The Xbox 360 has twice as many online players in the US as the PlayStation 3, according to a report.

Figures from NPD Group,citedbyMicrosoft, suggest that the Xbox 360 has 50% more connected service users than its Sony rival.

Microsoft also announced that it has delivered more than 20 billion hours of online gaming and entertainment through the Xbox 360 over the past 12 months, marking a 17% year-on-year growth, but failed to specify how much of that figure relates to gaming.
