Xbox 360 Get’s An Upgrade

Microsoft has today announced a new system-on-chip processor for all Xbox 360 Slim consoles.

An SoC processor integrates CPU main processor, GPU or graphics, memory and I/O logic onto one single chip. Saving much needed space within the innards of the slim console.

This will also provide more power efficiency in the 360 along with reduced manafacturing costs and a reduction in internal heat levels.

As of yet there is no news on when these chips will be installed into new consoles, but rest assured Console Monster will keep our ears pricked up for a release date.
