World of Tanks blasting its way onto Xbox One, cross-platform confirmed

World of Tanks will be available on the Xbox One later this year, the game’s developer has revealed.

Speaking to IGN, Wargaming said that the free-to-play tank combat game will feature cross-platform play thanks to a battle server shared between both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.

World of Tanks is available to all Xbox Live Gold members as a free download, with additional in-game purchase options also available.

Xbox 360 gamers who choose to upgrade to the Xbox One version will be able to carry over their accounts and all in-game progress they have made.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition initially launched in February 2014.
