The BBC’s Watchdog program have recieved over 250 complaints about Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Worse than that if that most of the people who complained, mentioned that the problems only started once their warranty ran out.
Xbox 360 owner Alex Ainslow’s console was fine for the first year, but, just as his warranty was running out, his 360 wouldn’t stop crashing. He was forced to pay £85 for a replacement which lasted only three days before it started showing the dreaded “ring of death”.
Craig Jenkins had a similar problem. Just two months after buying a 360, his console started showing the “ring of death”. He’s been told to fork out £85 for a replacement.
While Watchdog does acknowledge that the majority of Xbox 360 owners have had no problems whatsoever, surely it’s about time Microsoft released revised, more reliable hardware, to prevent any further loss in credibility?
