Ubisofts new Development Studio

Recession has hit us all hard, trying to keep our houses warm, our cars running and our jobs safe is a bit of a problem but this doesn’t seem to be a problem forUbisoft who have announced a brand new £500 Million establishment in Ontario, Canada. The Ontario goverment are also giving Ubisoft £14 million per year over the next decade which will see job raise by 800 + people.

President at Ubisoft – Yves Guillemot commented;

“Today’s announcement marks a strategic move for Ubisoft as we continue to expand our internal development force. We are in an excellent position to grow and after extensive analysis we are thrilled to have reached an agreement with the government of Ontario to found our new studio in Toronto. The city is one of North America’s economic and cultural epicentres and our expectations are high.”

Canada and Ubisoft are one of the leading publishers and developers in the world bringing us triple a titles like Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Rayman, Prince of Persia and that will continue for many years to come.
